2016 Binna Burra Hike, Lamington National Park

Date: Sat 28 May 2016

Cost: Free

Starting Time: 7 am. 

Meeting Point: Car park @ Binna Burra Lodge Tea House, Binna Burra Rd, Beechmont QLD 4211  (see map)


Toilets  Toilets are available  at the start of the walk near car park.


Transport:
We ask paddlers and associates to car pool.  If you are looking for a car pool or have room in your vehicle please contact us via form adjacent.


Tracks:
BELLBIRD CIRCUIT:
 
Area: Ship's Stern Track 
Distance: 2km 
Time: 1 - 2 hours 
Difficulty: 1/5 easy

RAINFOREST CIRCUIT
: 
Area: Main Border Track 
Distance: 1.2km return 
Time: 30 minutes 
Difficulty: 1/5 easy

For a quick introduction to the rainforest, follow the Border Track for 500m, then branch right and return to the picnic area. 


What to bring? Good tough shoes,  a wind breaker, day pack, snacks and munchies, plenty of water, camera. insect repellant. Note: Club will be bringing first aid kit.

What not to bring? Please don't take anything that can turn into rubbish and you are not willing to bring back down the mountain.


Express Group: Bellbird Circuit
Leisure group: Rainforest Circuit


Barbecue Brekky (Approx. 9:00 am) Bring your own brekky food to barbecue. Club will bring utensils and barbecue cleaning equipment.  There are picnic benches at barbecue site.
