Broadwater Dragon's
Community & Corporate Dragonboat Regatta Sunday 6th November, 2016

Up to the challenge? Come and enjoy the thrill of racing in a Dragon Boat with your fellow associates, family and  friends. No previous experience is necessary - one optional training session is provided for all teams.

Led by the rhythmic beat of a drum, teams of 10  or 20 synchronized paddlers, one drummer and one steersperson sprint 200 meters in dragon boats rigged with decorative Chinese dragon heads and tails.

The races are exciting and a spectacular adrenaline charged sprint. Dragon boating is by nature is a social sport requiring large numbers of people to work together. It develops team work, strength and endurance as well as friendships.

ALL TEAMS
Teams of 10 or 20 paddlers


START TIME
Racing commencing at 9:00 am 
Teams should set up at 8:00 am

DISTANCE
200m (approx. 60 seconds of furious paddling)

COST
ADULTS: 18 +: $20 per paddler 
JUNIORS: Under 18:  $10 per paddler
*includes one optional training session prior to the event (Fee includes sports insurance cover).
REGISTRATIONS CLOSE on Sunday 30th October, 2016
