Josaiah and Akuilia are the best of friends both attending Kebra High. They are reasonbly new to the sport of dragon boating and were both inspired to join dragon boating by Josaiahs cousin Qeshone after she competed in Hungary representing Australia in 2013.
The two boys joined Sonics in 2013 and went onto represent Qld at the Nationals at the Sunshine coast where they also paddled for Coomera Dragons in the open mens and juniors categories. Both the boys saw an opportunity to represent the Gold Coast in Italy and so joined Qeshone and Renise at Broadwater in 2014 . They have since competed in the Club Worlds as Broadie Blades in Italy and have both recently been named in the under 18s team to represent Australia at the World Champs in Canada 2015.
