Firstly to all of you who paddled at Emerald Lakes on Sunday, great effort and we can see an indicator of the sort of teams we will be putting together in our ladies division, but the real reason for the email is to forward information regarding our Ladies Weekend at Thunderbird Park. I have attached the itinerary and Thunderbird Park site. I hope as many of you as possible make it, it will be physically challenging but socially rewarding, to be a Team we have to first become a team and I hope this short trip serves as a great bonding experience for us all, First rule of coaching is "make it fun, engage your participants". I know you will all engage in the challenge and we will all contribute to make it fun.

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ ALL THE INFORMATION IN THIS EMAIL SIMPLY:

Transfer $ 37.00 for the rope course or $ 86.00 for the rope course and accomodation into the Broadwater Dragons Bank Account.

  • Closer to the date we can organise car pooling.
  • We have been granted a 1200 checkout time on sunday, great for those wanting a sleep in or leisurely restaurant breakfast.
  • Terri is composing a spreadsheet of those of you who have paid, once you transfer either of these amounts into the Broadwater Bank Account Terri will put your name against set amount, 18 ladies so far have expressed interest I am hoping for 25.

Thanks Georgie

Expressions of Interest: Officials
2013 Australian Dragon Boat Championships
Sydney International Rowing Centre, April 2013

The 2013 AusDBF Australian Championships (the AusChamps) will be held during April 2013 at the Sydney International Rowing Centre (SIRC) at Penrith. The Championships will feature state representative racing for the Peter Bristow Trophy, and club racing for the Trevor Huggard Trophy.

The annual regatta has grown considerably over the last four seasons and a record 2600 competitors contested the 2012 Championships. Up to 3000 paddlers are expected in 2013.

To ensure the smooth running of the event, AusDBF is seeking suitably qualified and interested people to act as officials. All positions are vacant, from Chief Official down, and expressions of interest in taking on these key roles are now being sought.

Pan Pacs Masters Games 2012

16/9/2012

This year the Pan Pacs Masters Games  are for 40 years +. Registration is around $155 per paddler. Racing will be at Varsity Lakes (Lake Orr) on Friday 9th & Saturday 10th November. Please let us know if you intend paddling at the games. To register we have to nominate a team manager who registers first. Once we have a team manager registered all paddlers can then register using the Broadwater name & as a “crew member”.

Paddler numbers are crucial to our involvement in these games…..

cheers
